Why Elkwood was started?
The way we make things today is unsustainable and no longer fit for the future. It won’t last forever, either we choose how it changes, or the change will be made for us, with no regard for the consequences.
Mass production, global shipping, and fossil-fuel dependence have made products cheaper, but at a cost we can no longer afford. Waste piles up, supply chains break, and the planet pays the price.
Elkwood is our response. We’re building a new kind of manufacturing; hyper-local, sustainable, and built to last. One product at a time, we’re showing that the future doesn’t need to be shipped from overseas.
